The Pre-Medical Scholarship program prepares USMA graduates to serve as Army physicians in support of soldiers, military families, and wounded warriors. The program supports approximately 200 cadets each year who show interest in and the aptitude to pursue a medical degree.
Cadets participate in the annual West Point Medicine and Life Science Forum, as well as physician shadowing, clinical outreach and research, pre-medical conferences, and medical AIAD opportunities.
These experiences, in addition to the support and mentorship provided for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) preparation, set the stage for graduates’ success in pursuing a career in military medicine.
