Civil-Military Operations (CMO) aim to build and manage relationships between military forces, government agencies, NGOs, and civilians to support U.S. military objectives. The Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations (CSCMO) at West Point prepares cadets for CMO roles by offering classroom integration, research opportunities, symposia, and service-learning.
CSCMO promotes CMO education through four pillars: curriculum integration, research support, symposia participation, and hands-on service-learning internships. These programs connect cadets to real-world CMO environments, equipping them to engage with civilian and military organizations worldwide, ensuring readiness for complex operational challenges across diverse environments.
